Sociologist from the University of Concepción, with 16 years of experience in socio-environmental assessment, indigenous consultation, citizen participation, and environmental damage consulting. Specialist in human rights and the environment, with international training in public policy, environmental management, and intercultural justice.
He was a pioneer in Chile in applying the Social Impact Assessment (SIA) methodology in the SEIA for the evaluation of the human environment component, producing an unprecedented annex that set a technical precedent in this field. His career includes leadership in the Antofagasta SEA, consulting for CONADI, the Orígenes Program, and the INDH in indigenous consultation processes, as well as strategic advice to companies on issues related to the assessment of the human environment component.
With expert knowledge in all industries evaluated in the SEIA, his approach focuses on copper mining, lithium, and non-conventional renewable energy (NCRE), combining strategic vision, territorial sensitivity, and regulatory soundness.
He is currently in charge of due diligence processes in social impact assessments and strategic risk consulting in the preliminary stages, during environmental assessments, and post-RCA.
